As some of you may know, my least favorite team in Ridonculous Race was "The Best Friends". As much as others loved to gush and gush about them, they were just too riddled with cliches and annoyances for me to enjoy. Not just Devin, but also Carrie...for her being so clingy and desperate for him to notice her...hell it almost got "creepy" a couple times. I was really...really hoping that she'd grow out of that lovesick phase and just move ON from Devin, and hey I almost got my wish! :D ....until she went right BACK to loving him, and my hopes went down the drain T_T

So TL;DR, I would've liked Carrie more if she just focused away from Devin and moreso on the game and the friendships she garnered from other contestants. One of the few interactions I liked from her was the bond she gained with Dwayne Jr. (aka "Junior"), from the "Father & Son" duo. I know his crush on her was supposed to be played for simple laughs and not taken as seriously...but ugh, I don't know...I can't help but think they'd be really cute together if he just grew up a little :meow: Which brings me to my personal headcanon story...

---

Shortly after the ending of Ridonculous Race, Carrie and Devin went on to continue their dating life. Though the first few months were great and full of passion...by the end of the first 2-3 years the said passion was beginning to fade. Carrie was just getting so needy for love and attention, while Devin wanted to slow things down and constantly got distracted by everything. It got to the point where he started to forget about his dates with Carrie, important events like anniversaries, and even to the point of forgetting her own birthday. Carrie at first tried to be patient as she didn't want to come across as clingy or obsessive to him....but by the end of the 4th year and no further romantic action from Devin left her frustrated and they began to argue on and off again. Finally, by the 5th year of dating they decided to break things off for good.

While on one hand, Devin himself wasn't too bothered by the breakup (even managing to get himself a new girlfriend, Ellody, in 3 weeks afterwords), Carrie herself was distraught at not being able to be "together forever" with her childhood crush. She closed herself off from the world, and resorted to staying in her bedroom and eating junkfood to forget the pain. Whenever she ran low on food, she would order out and have several pizzas delivered to her house (with a note placed outside for the delivery guy to leave the food by the door so she can get it later without others seeing her in public).

In the meanwhile, Junior and his father were bonding more than ever after they came home from the game show. They may not have won the prize money, but the experience left them feeling content anyway. In the next several years, young Junior was beginning to grow into a handsome young man...eventually moving out of his family home to rent an apartment next to his college. Being on his own, he had to resort to getting a job as a pizza delivery boy. One of his biggest customers always had him leave the pizzas by the door of her apartment without meeting her in person. The more this happened, the more Junior grew curious as to who was behind the door...

One day, he decided to change things up by simply standing out in front of the door, knocking on it as he would for any other house. On the other side, he heard some scuffling and watched as the door slowly creaked open...to reveal none other than his old Ridonculous Race crush, Carrie! He could easily recognize her off the bat, yet it took Carrie several minutes to realize that the hunky pizza boy standing in front of her was none other than Junior. Several awkward laughs later, and the two began to idly chat after Junior gave her the pizzas. They talked about how their lives were going and what's been happening for the past five years. Of course they eventually had to cut it short as Junior had to leave to finish his other deliveries, but he promised to visit her again if she ordered again.

Carrie, feeling on cloud nine at having been noticed by a guy...a cute guy in-fact, suddenly started feeling awkward about the ordeal. Though they were both legal adults by now (Junior being 18, and Carrie being 23), she felt weird having this attraction to someone that was once half her height when they were both competing on that game show. Having had that crush on Devin for years, she never bothered to try and expand her horizons in regards to other guys...but she just couldn't help being so easily impressed by kindness. After some weeks of hesitation, she decided to give Junior a chance and they went on to date happier than she ever was with Devin. A couple more years down the line, they married and started their own family (around the same time as Devin and Ellody, who were also married now).

Now that both families were on good terms, they allowed their own children to hang out and befriend eachother, just like old times~ :aww:
