The Royal Equestria Family

I'm experimenting more with pointy ponies, so I thought it'd be neat to try out this style on Princess Celestia and Luna...along with my own versions of their parents, King Helios and Queen Selene...in this own little headcanon I created out of fun. This took place many millenniums ago, when Celestia and Luna were still young fillies with their parents ruling Equestria. Carefree and having no real responsibilities, they did their best to make the best of their childhoods.

What they didn't know at this time, was that her parents wouldn't be ruling forever. Eventually they knew that they would join the rest of their ancient brothers and sisters up in the skies, as alicorns of their caliber were known to turn into celestial bodies (most commonly stars) when they would pass away. So, it was decided after Luna was born that she and her sister would carry out the royal duties that their parents once shared. Celestia would take on control of the sun, as her father Helios...while Luna would take on control of the moon, as her mother Selene. 

As predicted, the King and Queen met their final end (I haven't decided on how that happened)...with their daughters eventually growing to take their places as the dual rulers of Equestria. Legend has it that when one looks up at the sky when it hits dusk/dawn...you can see two blinking stars shimmering above the horizon...as if it was watching over it's onlookers like a parent to a child...
